Melbourne Sailing School Corporate Events
Team Building Events with Melbourne Sailing School offers a unique and
thrilling way to experience sailing on Port Phillip. Participants sail
aboard our performance Beneteau Yachts. Teams are led by highly qualified
and experienced skippers who will guide and encourage everyone to take
an active part in the steering and sailing of the yacht. The race is strategically
planned for the prevailing winds to take the yachts close to some of Port
Phillips best boating attractions. Melbourne Sailing School's team events
are a carefree, inexpensive and healthy venue to enhance your conference,
company client day, or as a staff incentive.
We can host events to suit groups- from 6 to 14 people sailing on 2 yachts.
On occasions we can provide additional yachts for larger groups.
Typical event layout
Introduction and welcome by Melbourne Sailing School director and sailing
master Qualified Skipper/instructor aboard each yacht, Race organization,
course design, presentation and debriefing.
Food and beverage packages can be arranged,
with either a BBQ after the sailing or something more formal if required.

group by Melbourne Sailing School and introduction of skippers
0930 Orientation
and safety briefing
0945 Board yachts,
cast off, set sails. Crews rehearse sailing manoeuvre's and discuss tactics
1045 Yachts / Teams
make their way to the start area
1050 First warning
signal - the yachts begin jockeying for the best position on the start
line
1055 5 minutes warning
signal
1100 The race starts,
the course is strategically planned to suit prevailing winds of the day
and takes skill to pick the correct way to go
1145 Race finished
1200 Return to marina
and dock
1215 Debrief and
Presentation with post race function (if required) overlooking marina
and Port Phillip.
