Introduction to Sailing (The first step)
If you've never sailed or only have limited sailing experience then this
is the first step in the learning process, conducted entirely onboard
a yacht it offers on-water sailing experience. It provides the best way
to enter the sport, with onboard instruction and training, you spend a
whole day on the water learning the basics of safety, right of way, where
a yacht will sail and where it will not and how to conduct yourself onboard
a yacht with extensive course notes provided. Upon completion you will
be awarded with a certificate.
Topics covered are:
The Yacht: Basic knowledge of terms and parts of the boat - Ropework
- Getting underway - Rules of the road - Meteorology - Man overboard recovery
- How a sailing yacht works - Clothing and equipment - Emergency equipment
and precautions.
Cost $225 per person. Runs all day from 0930 until 1600 hours

and places will be limited to maximum of 5 persons per course.

will be forwarded.
All Melbourne Sailing School courses commerce on a regular basis and offer
a great deal of flexibility ... you could be sailing in a few days.
